Sauteed Chard Grilled Cheese

Elevate your grilled cheese with a few simple ingredients. I like to saute my greens as soon as I get them home so they’re ready to slip into any meal. You can change this combination to any type of cheese and switch out the jam for honey mustard, or even some pesto mayo. This makes one sandwich, but it’s more of an idea than a recipe so you can be fast and loose with the amounts here.

2 slices Proof Bread sourdough bread
1/4 cup sauteed greens (simply cut up your greens and stems and saute in olive oil over medium heat until soft)
1/4 cup gruyere cheese grated
1 Acre Farm Plum Jam with Vanilla and Black Pepper
butter

Spread an even amount of butter on one slice of bread and place it butter side down in a pan over medium heat. Spread the other side with an even layer of the jam. Pile on your sauteed greens and cheese (tip - tossing the greens and cheese together before placing it on the bread makes it a bit easier when eating). Spread jam on another slice of bread and place jam side on top of the cheese. Spread the top slice with more butter and let it cook over medium low heat until the bottom is browned. Flip over the sandwich and let it cook until brown and your cheese is nice and melted. ENJOY!
